Stormy Monday

They call it stormy monday, but tuesday's just as bad.
Wednesday's even worse, and Thursday is so sad.

This song was written by T-Bone Walker in 1947. It is called "Call it stormy monday (But Tuesday's Just as Bad)."

There is a song with a similar name by Bob Crowder/ Billy Eckstine/Earl Hines. It is named "Stormy Monday Blues." This definitely a distinct song. It was written in 1942 (before the other one). I'm thinking T-Bone might have been referring to the Earl Hines song when he said "They call it stormy monday." I don't know. I could be wrong.

Chase the Sun

Throw your hands up, throw your hands up high!
Tear the roof off and pull down the sky!
Chase the sun back to California, tears in my eyes.
Tell me where you're from, the mighty west side!
